Meaning: Storehouse of Seeds
Symbolism: Named for Gwanggaeto Wang, the nineteenth monarch of Korea’s Goguryeo kingdom, who expanded and reclaimed territory throughout much of the Korean peninsula, Manchuria, and parts of Mongolia. The form’s 39 movements represent Goguryeo’s expansion, and the two leading digits of the year 391AD when the Gwangaeto Wang rose to power.
