Meaning: Flower of the Court Attendants
Symbolism: The Hwarang youth group was an elite fighting force that originated in Silla during the early 7th century. Guided by Won Gwang’s Five Commandments for Secular Life, the Hwarang played a central role in the unification of Korea’s three ancient kingdoms. The 29 movements in the form symbolize the 29th infantry division, where Taekwondo developed into maturity.
